My name is Cadi Catlow and I'm a stopmotion animator and director currently based in Cardiff, UK.
I began my professional career 25 years ago as a teenager, directing and animating an anti-racism spot for Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising in a hay barn in the Cumbrian Pennines.
Over the following two decades, I've worked across Europe on commercials for clients such as Heinz, TK-MAXX, Velvet Tissue, Nationwide, Wrigley's, The Sun, Sport Scotland, Motorola, The Warehouse Project, HSBC, ITV Sport, McCain Oven Chips, Jura Whiskey, Dulux Paint, Hansaplast and Samsung, together with music videos for artists London Grammar, Run The Jewels, Father John Misty and Two Fingers. TV series include "OOglies", "Rastamouse", "Raa-Raa The Noisy Lion" and "The Little Blue Dragon". I was also part of the animatronics teams on "Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix" and "Children of Men".
In 2013, I was one of 5 international winners of a script-writing competition launched by Bombay Sapphire. If you want to know what I'm like after 40+ hours without sleep, you can watch the interview below.
I'm currently developing a project supporting endangered languages in Canada, writing a 3 season sci-fi fantasy TV show and beginning early development on a fun animated show teaching chemistry to ages 5-12. I'm also working on my first novel for teenagers, and collaborating with Three Stones Media on a slate of projects. I'm also one half of creative duo Mushroom Rain - www.mushroomrain.com. It's a busy old time!
I'm always happy to discuss projects and ideas, so please drop me a line if you think I can help.
